Why won't anything in my PCI slots work?
I have an Intel DG31PR motherboard and nothing seems to work in my PCI/PCI-E x16/PCI-E x1 slots. The Graphics cards i have tried in the PCI-E slots both work but not on this motherboard. The wifi adapter card i tried in the PCI slot doesnt seem to work either. And i have installed the Chipset Drivers for the motherboard.

CPU: Intel Pentium E2180 @2.00Ghz
HDD: Seagate Pipeline 3GB/s 500GB: ST3500312CS

RAM: 2GB (1GB x 2)

I'm only 14, parents won't let my buy another mobo and its nothing to do with the bios. Theres nothing in the bios about the pci slots and i dont wanna risk bricking my mobo by trying to update the bios. I tried the pci stuff in before i installed the drivers, nothing, took them out, installed drivers, still nothing.
Why don't you boot in to your BIOS, usually F2 or Del key just after the power button. I would bet that you have to enable the individual PCI slots or configure them. Then save, exit, and finish boot.
Addition: It would be very helpful to know what kind of graphics card and what kind of wi-fi and most important of all what version of windows are you running. It is incredible that with all these attempts, with so many things not the problem, and not once have you had even a flicker of progress...that smells to me like someone trying to install new technology into a way to old incompatible board.
