The HL 1650 Cartridge, An Advanced Yet Affordable Printer For The Home Office
The home office must be run with the lowest possible overhead cost. While running at a low cost, the output of the home office must be comparable to that produced by the biggest corporate office. The Brother HL-1650 paired with the HL 1650 printer toner cartridge provides high quality output combined with low operating costs to the home office. The HL-1650 can print pages at up to 16 pages per minute. Pages can be duplex printed using the automatic duplexer built into the HL-1650.
Both parallel and USB connection ports are installed in the HL-1650. If the printer is intended to be utilized in a small office network environment, The optional 10/100 Base TX Ethernet print server must be acquired and installed into the printer. Utilizing the parallel port and connecting the printer to a single computer achieve the highest printing speeds. Using the USB port, lowers printing speeds by one third.

Brother provides the Quick Print utility setup with the HL-1650. This utility can be placed either in a dedicated window or on the system tray of the computer. Initial setup of this utility provides for options that will be utilized in printing the documents. These options include dedicating which size paper goes in which tray, layouts for multiple pages and type of paper used. In the Driver Properties section, features such as watermark inclusion are available. Graphics are often light or dark when printed. To insure proper graphics quality, the density and contrast of the graphics can be controlled manually.
The printing quality is user adjustable. The lowest print quality is 300 dpi. Ht highest print quality is 1,200 dpi. The ability to adjust the print quality is invaluable when creating drafts for departmental review when a high quality document is not required. Even at the 300 dpi setting documents are printed at a quality that is while not exceptional provide a good quality document. The output rate of the printer is determined by several factors. These factors include, whether the USB or parallel port is selected for data input, print quality setting and the amount of graphics that are included in the document.
Duplex printing provides problems for many users. To reduce the duplex printing problems Brother has included a duplex printing feature on the HL-1650. The duplex printing feature provides several options including six discrete alignment settings. There is also a manual duplex function should the user choose to utilize it during the printing of the document.
The Brother HL-1650 provides a viable option for the small business or small business workgroup. A highly competitive initial cost, combined with high capacity Brother HL 1650 toner and drum combinations provides a minimal cost of 2 cents per printed page. USB high speed device?
My laptop keeps on saying to me ........Hi speed usb device attached to non hi speed hub...........I dont understand.........I know what the usb port is...........can you help please
It means that the usb device you connected is capable of usb 2.0 speeds (480 MBits/s in theory), but the usb ports in your computer aren't. They can only go as fast as usb 1.1 (12 MBits/s).
It's nothing to worry about, your device should function properly, only a lot slower.
