The GN Netcom 9020 Wireless Headset

The GN Netcom 9020 Wireless Headset

The Netcom 9020 Headset is a really good headset. It doesn’t need a remote, and it’s completely wireless. The GN Netcom 9020 puts everything on your head and it’s a professional quality headset plus a 2.4 GHz transmitter and receiver.

The features

With a weight of only 2.1 ounces, it’s light enough to wear comfortable, even when you’re using it for many hours stretch.

2.4 GHz transmission, with an excellent noise-cancelling microphone including continuous clear-channel search gives the uncompromising sound quality that most people are looking for.

The Netcom 9020 Wireless Headset is fully functional anywhere up to 50 feet away from the base station, which results in great mobility.

With one year warranty you can feel safe that this is not just one of those headsets that easily break. This headset is of great quality.

And if you are concerned about security, it is protected by digital encryption using the Spread Spectrum technology. This means that your conversations are kept private. You’ll never again have to worry about people listening in on your calls.

Extras

If you want to enjoy the Netcom 9020 wireless headset on your PC as well, you’ll need an extra piece of equipment. The one that’s recommended is the Select Computer Telephony Switch.

It’s a small switchbox which allows you to flip between telephone and PC. It couldn’t be easier.

Netcom also usually delivers great quality headsets, and the GN 9020 Headset is no exception. So should you choose this headset over any other headset?

The answer depends on several factors. If you need a great quality wireless headset, and you want to talk securely, than this is really the headset that you need. You should for instance pick another one if you are looking for a headset to be used for gaming.

So now you know why the Netcom 9020 Headset is the headset to go for. Please click on the link below to find out more:

studio lighting/wireless triggers and receivers etc...?

ok. ive been reading a lot about studio lights and whatnot. i know that you need a trigger and receiver. where the trigger goes onto your hotshoe and the receiver connects to your monolight. however, why do you need to connect a wireless receiver onto your mono light if it already has a built in slave sensor which automatically senses infrared light?

i want the wireless remote shutter release, will it sync with the lights?
ok. how do i get the lights to sync with my camera using a wireless shutter release? do the lights sense the transmitter on my camera? do i have to buy something for all of it to sync together?

the sensor on your mono light is more likely an "optical" sensor, meaning when it detects a sudden change in light intensity, it'll trigger its own strobe. In other words, you'll need a primary strobe to activate this slave strobe with built-in sensor.

If you want a wireless trigger, try pocket wizards - they've been reliable to me. They're transceivers, meaning that each PW can automatically transmit and receive radio signals (versus optical signals). So you don't have to fiddle which one is the transmitter or receiver and what should go where.

BlackBerry PlayBook dropping to $199 in time for holidays (Albuquerque Journal)

The Playbook's price has dropped $300 since its launch earlier this year.

It's official--the price of BlackBerry's PlayBook tablet will soon be dropping
into the Kindle Fire range at a number of big-time retailers... for a limited
time.

When it launched earlier this year, the slate from Research In Motion started
at $499. A few months ago, the price dropped as low as $299 through a
combination of credits and rebates from retailers like Best Buy.

Today, RIM announced via Twitter that the rumored $199 price drop is for real
"for a limited time only."

The PlayBook Web site lists Best Buy, Wireless Giant, Staples, OfficeMax,
Office Depot, Radio Shack and Wal-Mart as participating retailers. RIM has
offered no confirmation of when the price cut will go into effect, but current
prices have remained in place on the retailers' sites this morning, and
previous reports suggest that the $199 price may be a Black Friday deal.
