Can I use a wireless LAN PCMCIA card in my PC?

I think this is a stupid question but worth a try. I took the card from a laptop, and want to install it in my PC to use wireless internet in my home. Is this possible or do laptops use different cards to PCs? I noticed there is no slot on the outside, but thought there might be a slot on the inside.

yes u can.. there is a pcmcia PCI card slot available for the PC.. thus, u will be able to use both ur laptop and pc using the pcmcia card at any one time.
however, it will still be better to use a usb wireless adapter. u can use it for both without the need to open up your pc..
