I was wondering which laptop would be the better choice. My choices are between:

13.3" Macbook Pro - $1499

The laptop will be used for some video and photo editing and very little gaming. It will also be used for giving presentation like power point, since I am a teacher. Which is the better buy?

Hello,as per your needs and requirements i would prefer if you go for Sony Vaio VGN-FW330J/B because of the following reasons:

1.It has P8600 processor which is built on Centrino 2 technology by Intel and is one of the latest.Its more powerful and way much better in performance.Where as T6400 processor is out dated.

2.As you have mentioned that the laptop would be used for video and photo editing,plus it would be used for giving presentations. So bigger the screen size the better viewing i.e. 16.4" is better than 15.4' or 13.3".

3.With Sony you get more hard drive space i.e. 80GB extra. The more the better.

4.Couldn't find the details for Graphics/Video card on Sony Vaio VGN-FW330J/B.But if it has the same graphics or higher than Toshiba A305-S6916,then Sony is the winner in this section too.
